"Kena Main" @ Istana Budaya~!!

I know I'm don't deserve to be called a blogger because I rarely update. I've been extremely busy with my studies, freelance work and crafting.

Last Friday (3rd April 2015), me and 4 of my classmates went to watch a theatrical play at Istana Budaya. The title is "Kena Main", hehe.. A classmate of mine got free tickets to the play, so he invited anyone who would like to come join. Of course, I immediately agreed, as this was my first time ever watching a play.

There are ethics if you want to watch a play at Istana Budaya. You cannot wear slippers or sandals, torn jeans, round-neck t-shirts and revealing clothes. You can go to Istana Budaya's website to obtain more info.

"Kena Main" is written and directed by Khalid Salleh. The play focuses on the lives of a group of blind street musicians (or buskers, as you may call them): Jusuh, Daud, Mona and Pie. One of them, Mona, is in trouble with the police because she ran away from home. Daud feels guilty as he was the one who invited her to come to Kuala Lumpur. A drug addict recognises Mona from a newspaper article and threatens Mona to send her to the police. As Mona panicks, a committee member of a welfare organisation and the organisation's lawyer help Mona with her police case. Meanwhile, Jusuh and Pie tricks Daud into giving himself in to the police. Daud, full of guilt, goes to the police station nervously, not knowing that he has been tricked by his friends. Lastly, the case is settled, and the four blind musicians are offered to play music at the welfare organisation's charity night.

This play has actually been staged before in 1998 and was entered in the Malaysia Book Record for being the first play to have real blind actors. However, this year, the play is acted by famous actors on a bigger stage, namely Eman Manan, Ebby Saiful, Aida Othman, Sani Sudin, Azizah Mahzan, Sabri Yunus, Fauziah Nawi, Azman Hassan and many others.

I had absolute fun watching the play. The theater was full of laughter. "Kena Main" (which means "tricked/getting tricked") is funny, inspiring and thought-provoking. And watching a live play makes you feel more connected to the characters played out.

I took a pic with an artist. I seldom watch Malay dramas/movies, but I seem to recognise his face. I asked my friends who were with me that night, and even they could not recall his name. Do any of you know his name? I would be honoured if you could help me out on this one, hihi~....

Of Master's Degree & MyMaster~...

I'm not really sure if any of you know this, but I'm currently a postgraduate student in a university in KL. 

Yup, I juz started my Master's degree studies in September 2014. And right now, I'm entering the last few weeks of Sem 1. My final exams for this sem is in January~.... ">_<

I decided to further my studies as I wanted to obtain a job of my dreams in the future (that is, being a translator, of course). Since I'm a full-time student again now, I'm only working part time at my old job once a while.

Besides that, I do freelance translation & proofreading jobs as well. (if you wanna know more, juz click here). My craft business has been a bit slow, but orders are still in queue. ^_^ Alhamdulillah~...

For those of you who are applying for or are currently studying for Master's degree or PhD, you must have heard of MyBrain15. MyBrain15 is sort of like a scholarship by the government. Well, it's more like a financial aid to increase the number of postgraduates in Malaysia. MyMaster is for Master students, while MyPhD is for PhD students.

Alhamdulillah, my MyMaster application has juz been approved last Friday. Thus, I'm in the midst of settling the required documents to be submitted.

Being a student again, yes, it does feel great. There are no more work stress. Yet, you gain stress from assignments and studying for exams, haha.. ＼（Ｔ∇Ｔ）／ Plus, Master's degree is different from Bachelor's degree, where you have to be super fast in jotting down the notes in class, and the lecturers will give you titles of books to be read. Yup, that's right, you have to find your own notes by reading books either online or purchasing them.

And in terms of assignments and exams, you're required to give out a lot more than expected. Yes, I mean, A LOT. Huhuhuhu~... Coz as a Master student, you're seen as an adult. (￣□￣;)!!

Thankfully, now I have my own laptop, bought online from Dell. Yeay~~~~~ o(〃＾▽＾〃)o Anyway, at least now I have some time to spend wif Hannah, and also catch up on watching anime~~... :3

Finally..I've graduated~!! Alhamdulillah...

Sorry for being absent from the blogosphere & not visiting you back. I've been busy wif work which requires a lot of time & attention.

Back to the main story... Finally, after years of studying, I have graduated from University of Malaya on 4th October 2013. A 3-year course ended up to be 5 years long, as I encountered some problems a long the way (that are personal, huhu~...)

I'm grateful to Allah to be given a chance to finish my studies. And I'm very much thankful to my wonderful parents, family, lecturers & frens who have helped me out greatly, even tough there were times that I thought of stopping my studies. I can never repay them back, although I will try my very best to do so.

Hard work & patience are rewarding in the end. ^_^ Even when the going gets tough, you should never give up.

Yeah, I know, I haven't been blogging much recently. Gomenasai, minna-san~... Although this week is my mid-sem break, I have loads of stuff to do: 

* catch up wif my studies (it's my final year!!!!)
* do assignments
* finish up the load of craft orders~..

So, I may not be as active at blogging as I used to anymore.. T_T But, I promise that I will visit you back when I'm free, OK? I still haven't even approved your comments yet~.. "-_-

BTW, surprisingly, I got another BE from Nuffnang, which is my 20th BE, hehe.. Thanks a lot Nuffnang~!! ^_^ Now I have 3 running BEs~...

To the bloggers who always ask when will they get a BE, let's juz say, have a lot of patience. I first started to get my 1st BE last year, and I've been blogging since August 2010. All the BEs that I got are all at my old blog (which only a few of you know, hehehehe..) This blog hasn't got a BE yet, although UVs & traffics are higher at this blog compared to my old one.

So, like I said, have a lot of patience, keep blogging & don't forget to do a lotttttttttttt of  blogwalking to increase traffic to your blog. >_<

It's been 4 days since my last update. Whoa, that's a new record!! >_< Hehe... I didn't update bcoz I was lazy, but simply coz I was busy. So here I am then, tadaima~!! XD

This sem I'm only going for 4 classes. But being a final year student, my days suddenly gets busy. Plus, I have a crafting business to look after too, hehe.. XP

I'm already in the 3rd week of the sem. So there's another 11 more weeks to go, yeah!!! Haha.. >_< 


BTW, there's an event at Putrajaya on 23rd March 2012. Booths are rented for RM51 each. I might be going, sharing a table wif someone else. Anyone interested in joining me? Do comment below, hihi~..

1st day of class | Final sem~!!!!!

Gomenasai for not updating yesterday. I wanted to take a rest from going online, hehe.. Yappari (I suppose) many of you missed me, right? Hihi~... 

Kyou wa (today) was the 1st day of class for my final sem. Yeah, my final sem~!!! Doesn't that sound sooooo good?!! I'm only a few months more before graduating, yokatta!! >_<


My faculty (Faculty of Languages & Linguistics) always has foreign students studying & taking classes wif us. But this sem, there seems to be more Korean & Taiwanese exchange students as compared to last time. Mayb they like Malaysia a lot, hihi~...

I don't mind being wif foreigners, coz they're all frenly. In my class, I have frens from Africa, Thailand, Maldives. Being surrounded wif foreigners, kinda makes me feel like I'm studying overseas. Haha!! XD


Nway, as what I've seen earlier today, there are a lot of kawaii  Korean girls in my faculty. (I dunno what's "cute" in Korean, I juz know Japanese, hehe..) I wonder if the boys are cute too? Hehe.. >_< You can immediately recognise that a person is Korean or Taiwanese by looking at their face & style. They're juz so trendy & kawaii~!!! You do understand what I'm trying to say here, right? XP

New year, new Volkswagen~!!

The results are out~!!!!

Nah, I'm not gonna announce the result of my contest. (Plz don't be mad at me!!) That will be announced later this afternoon, hehe.. >_< What I'm actually gonna tell you now is that the results of my exams the other day are already out!!!


Actually, if it weren't for Syahmi-kun who asked me about last sem's results, I wouldn't have bothered at all checking at UM's website. In fact, I totally forgot all about it, haha.. XP

OK, so I did not get a 4 flat pointer, much to Kim's dismay. Gomen ne, Kim~.. ">_<

But at least I tried my best. Even though I was online much all of time rather than studying. (Plz do not copy this bad habit of mine, huhu~..) "-_- 

I'm really shocked that I didn't get a "C" for Japanese, coz truthfully,  the paper was super duper muzukashii (difficult). Plus, getting an "A-" for my final year project a.k.a thesis, that surprised me too. Well, as for English Proficiency, I have never gotten an "A" for that subject, ever since Sem 1. Who said English was easy?? >_<


And for Eza-chan who'll be taking up a degree course this year, ganbatte kudasai~!! Study hard & smart, don't be like me, ngehehehehehe... XP

Finally, it's over & I'm free to enjoy my holidays. I've finished my final year thesis & submitted it to my lecturer yesterday. 


I slept extremely early last night...to replace all the sleepless nights before, hehe.. So I only got to approve all your comments this morning. 

Arigato gozaimasu to all of you who wished me & supported me to finish up my thesis, and also for you who kindly came here even though I was quite busy & didn't visit you back.

Before I rant on about the abovementioned title, I'd juz like to say domo arigato tomodachi for your concerned comments in my previous entry. No matter how sad I am, your comments & visits to this blog has made me super hepi. ^_^


OK, so last Tuesday I went to splurge, oopss I mean, spend the 1Malaysia book vouchers that were esp given to all uni students.

I've already surveyed the MPH store at SACC Mall the day before that. But unfortunately, there weren't much interesting books & there were too many students around (from UiTM, MSU, PTPTL etc). And too bad I didn't find Wan lounging around there, hehe.. >_<


So I went to the MPH store in Mid Valley instead. And here's what I bought wif RM100 (voucher, not cash..hehe..)

2 books from the same author, Emily Giffin. "Something Blue" is actually the sequel to "Something Borrowed", hihi~. (I'm reading it now) ^_^
